As the region was flooded to create the lake, animals took refuge in the mountain peaks, which are now the many islands that dot the renowned lake.
Surrounded by abundant flora and fauna, animals such as white face capuchin monkeys, two toed sloths, exotic birds, crocodiles and howler monkeys can be spotted.
You will observe ships transiting the water way and also visit the old military facilities of the radio station that served as a center of communication during World War II.
A delicious picnic lunch on the Island “Sounds of Silence” is also included.
Binoculars are highly recommended.
